I'd like to hear from anyone who has taken (or more particularly failed) the tests for CDI. I just found out I have to take these tests when I arrive in Korea, I don't actually use pot (haven't since high-school) however my friends do (a lot) and I'm a little anxious about the possibility of a positive result due to second-hand smoke.
I'm pretty certain I'll pass but I'd just like to know the consequences in the unlikely event I don't... ie Will I just have the job offer withdrawn (which i can live with ) or will I be deported (which I am not willing to risk) |

Sure you don't. It's ok. Don't be ashamed, it's better for you than drinking, just don't do it here. Ever.
Go to your local natural food store, one that sells vitamins and herbs (not herb, herbs). Find the hippy working that department and tell him you need to detox. Usually there is an herbal cleanser that you can get for $10-20 bucks that will clear you out for good in 7 days. Don't worry about telling him it's for bud, they get that all the time. |

Pass.
A drug test for a teaching gig is so unusual and will be sure to contain a lot more than just pot-testing. |

| you can't get it based on second hand, even if they blow it in your face. |

A drug test is standard in the U.S. for just about all jobs now days. Especially for teachers...
second hand smoke won't affect the outcome. |

| The levels of THC they test are pretty high. You would have to be an actual smoker to fail it. |

Is it in your contract? If no, refuse. If they fire you, find another job.
It is absolutely ridiculous to test a teacher for drugs. If US universities did this, they'd lose half of the professors on staff. |

| If anybody fails those tests, I certainly did, but I am a proud CDI employee. I never heard a word from anyone after taking my test, even after smoking a few grams the weekend before my test. Don't sweat it. |
