These seem a bit vague to me. Keep in mind that the recruiters are still not acknowledging the supposedly new visa laws and are still using the 2007 application form with the usual visa process we all got our last visa through. Below are my questions.

Can you get a Korean physician to do the medical examination form if you are currently in Korea or does it have to be done in your home country? I ask since I won't go home until February.

If you have been in Korea for the past year, will a 1 year old police check from home suffice? If not, can a Korean police check be used? I ask since I won't go home until February.

Do your 2 letters of recommendation have to be originals or can they be copies of the original?

A Document of proving teaching career (eg. Service statement letter, reference) □
Does EPIK have a way to verify that you taught in Korea? Do Koreans call a letter of recommendation a service statement letter? How should you ask your hagwon director for a letter that satisfies EPIK?

Anything else important in applying for EPIK that we all should know about is welcome? Thanks in advance.

I don't know what the letter is called, but yeah my public school last year gave me some document that said I worked there from Xx to Xx. From what I understand they're fairly commonplace. They did charge me 30 won which I thought was strange ~

You can get a medical check at your local GU Bogwanso for 17,000 won, they will even fill out your EPIK medical form, it takes a week for results.

You need a police check from your home country, if you show EPIK the receipt that you ordered it, it will be accpetable unitl the check gets here. However, if it turns out you do have a criminal past, you will be fired.

2 letters of recommendation have to be the original, singed and the envelopes have to be signed across the back to show they haven't been tampered with.

For Korea, you need to get a certification of employment for you teaching experience. It's basically a letter from the places you taught saying X teacher taught here for X amount of time.

EPIK verified my Korean medical check, I'm sure they will verify your work history.
