So these days I have been riddled with stomach problems. I have decided to take my doctors advice and give up coffee...easy right... Sad

Being an addict for over ten years now, I am not sure what to do without my daily dose of caffine. Does anyone know any alternatives to caffiene or any way to ween myself off of it....

I've tried caffiene pills before but had same result in my stomach...tea same and coke has too much sugar..

its a sad day in Whoville folks.... Crying or Very sad

Get regular sleep, eat well balanced meals and exercise regularly. Caffeine is a crutch. A delicious crutch. A delicious, refreshing pick-me-up crutch...

I need some coffee.

u could try weaning off it...

Start with cutting down to 1 per day, then single shots, then Decaf,

substitute with green tea... (even though I tastes like ______!)

or Red Bush tea.... with milk.. yummy.

good luck....

I won't comment on "Red Bush Tea," I sounds like something the pagans used to do.

OP: Yerba Mate tea. Read about it, then find it. "Nativa" brand is the best.

Yeah, good luck. I'd suggest hot chocolate as a substitute though. Those others are just not delicious enough to make up for coffee.

Coffee not only delivers the kick; but it is creamy and comforting like a cup of tea and rich, deep and smoothlike a hot choco (and me Laughing ) too... oh evil seductress....

The only thing that measures up in the stats dept is hot chocolate imo. It has the two latter coupled and tripleted (a word I made up) temptations and what it lacks for in kick it makes up for with endorphin boosts and happiness.

Going in against coffee armed with green tea or decaf will have you a beaten wreck on the canvass like Hatton against Mayweather or HMC agains Feydor if the people in low places behinds the scenes don't have their way....

Mistake - green tea contains almost as much caffeine as coffee.

quit cold turkey. Deal with the headaches for three days and it's over. Done this a few times.

for the last 2 years, a coffee a day was standard for me... however, in the last 2 months my stomach hasn't been too happy and i find that coffee really dehydrates me... i've cut it down to a coffee on saturday and sunday morning with a nice big breakfast! i'm actually feeling much more alert and healthy...

Or, question your doctor's credentials, accuse him/her of cheating their way through East Gwangju Online College of Medicine, and take down a Venti of the dark roast. Then, for the sake of your stomach and the sanity of those around you, and as you swill that black earthy brew around your mouth, consider the Sick Boy method.
Relinquishing junk. Stage one, preparation. For this you will need one room which you will not leave. Soothing music. Tomato soup, ten tins of. Mushroom soup, eight tins of, for consumption cold. Ice cream, vanilla, one large tub of. Magnesia, milk of, one bottle. Paracetamol, mouthwash, vitamins. Mineral water, Lucozade, pornography. One mattress. One bucket for urine, one for feces and one for vomitus. One television and one bottle of Valium, which I've already procured from my mother, who is, in her own domestic and socially acceptable way also a drug addict. And now I'm ready. All I need is one final hit to soothe the pain while the Valium takes effect.

Careful there... Red bush (or Rooibos) is the pride of South Africa! They feed you to the lions for saying stuff like that!

Why, after 10 years of drinking coffee, does your stomach get all sensitive now?

Did you switch brands or something?

Try switching to a bean with a low acidity. My favorite low acid coffee is Sumatra.

It's low in acid, full in body, and delicious.

Try it!

Yeah or check your diet. Kind of premo to blame it on coffee heads up. It could be kimchi, chiggae, alcohol, smoking just bad eating habbits that are casuing your stomach probs.

...Why am I so vehemantly defending the bean here...? Oh, yeah, cos I'm hooked on it.
