You have all seen those trucks which play political songs at fifty thousand decibels.
I have become curious about how those recordings are made.

Whereas:

▶ each song uses the candidate's name

▶ whoever supplies those recordings has to record oodlums of songs in a very short time, and therefore must act efficiently

▶ candidates in different provinces using the same song would not interfere with each other

▶ every candidate's name has three syllables, so it should be easy to substitute one name for another in the song lyrics

I am assuming that the outfit which supplies those songs uses the same few songs in each province.

But that still leaves a few questions.
I can understand how they could use the same instrumental track in all the recordings of each song.
But how do they plug in the candidate's name in the song lyrics?
Do the vocalists have to sing the entire song for each candidate?
Or has modern technology found a way to leave those three beats blank and type in each candidate's name?

I know one of the theme songs for Lee Myungbag was bought from the punk band No Brain. Originally the lyrics were "You have a crush on me" but they were changed to something about Lee Myungbag. Ironic because when he gets elected, if he ever goes through with his blacklist thing they'll probably be one of the first bands banned.

multi track recordings were commonplace in the early 60s... what you're talking about can be done on a home computer these days!
