I am coming to Korea in January and I am looking for insurance. Does anyone know of any good insurance companies for contents and personal liability?
Does anyone have any extra advice?

Which country are you from (or ordinarily resident in if different), and what will you be doing in Korea (working, travelling)? I assume you intend to buy insurance before coming to Korea?

Sorry for being vague!
I will be coming from the UK and I will be teaching English (probably in a hagwon). I would like to buy insurance from the UK, but not necessarily travel insurance which is all I seem to be getting offered at the moment and is ~�300. If I can get insurance in Korea at a good price I will happily go with that.
What does everyone else do?

Just use the national medical insurance in Korea. It's mandatory anyways, and cuts the cost of all doctor's visits and medicine down to 10%.

I will of course use the mandatory medical insurance, but my question is what insurance should I get for contents and personal liability?

Most of us don't buy travel insurance to go to Korea. However, even with the national health insurance, it will wipe you out at the bank if you need hospitalization and surgery. Dentistry is very expensive too, unless getting a tooth pulled to take care of an abscess event.

I am buying travel insurance for my 1 month trip to SE Asia next month just in case as to protect my cash and not be stranded in the event of the dreaded unexpected.

This is the insurance I am getting, though I am not trying to sell or promote, just what I am buying. It covers everything you could need in the event of the unexpected.

Guys, before this thread breaks off into a tangent about medical insurance, understand that the OP said she is not asking about medical coverage. She's asking about contents and liability insurance which covers your personal possessions and household contents.
