When I try to do a search on Dave's with the search tool, all i get is a blank page. Is this the same experience anyone else is having? I'm also running Firefox and will try the search feature using the Galeon browser. I run Linux and don't have a Windows machine in the house. |

Happens to me sometimes as well. I think it happens to everyone once and awhile. Just have to be lucky! |

Your search is too broad. Narrow it down. Change the search word and choose indiviidual forums to search instead of all forums. |

The "site search" box at the top of the page uses Google to search Dave's. |

I find if you search on something that will return too many hits, the search engine karks out. Try narrowing your search. |

I keep getting a message saying I need to wait a short while before doing a search. Can they fix that? |

The annoying thing is not being able to click 'back' to return to the search results.
Apart from that, I find the search function here to act like any other phpBB board.
The trick is to follow the instructions at the left of the search entry box. |

Yes, that is annoying. Can the site administrators fix it? |

phpbb search functions are notoriously difficult. it really depends on how the site is configured to save search terms in the database.
on this site, i get a blank page about 50% of the time ... even if i follow the instructions.
most of the options, however, are configurable. but moderators probably don't have those abilities. dave, or whoever admins the site, would have to do it. |

not to piss off any mods or dave himself, but the search function on this site is horrible. it needs to be upgraded or something. |

Google the site. Don't use the built-in search engine. |
