So I went to Nanta (the cooking performance thing) in Seoul yesterday. It was for a date of sorts and I'd have to say this was a great 1st or 2nd date activity because it was entertaining and funny, without all the pressure for you to be those things when you're maybe nervous. Plus, there are a lot of good restaurants and coffee shops around the Gangnam one.

Anyway, random and bizarre. But maybe a microcosm of what Korea is for many of us. But interesting at the same time. So, you should definitely go see it if you haven't checked it out yet. The only downside is that it's a bit expensive (40 000), although the performance is almost 2 hours long.

I went to Nanta last night too and it was wicked. Laughing

I went to the 8.00 show. We went to the barbeque place near it where they serve you all kinds of different meat, which was great.
Then we went to Nanta and saw the show. I was the guy that got called up on stage for the mandu challenge. I was on the right side and was in the team that won.
I had a great time and the girl i was with seemed to enjoy it too.

I went to Nanta earlier this year. Had front row tickets. Loads of fun, highly recommended!

I enjoyed Nanta in 2000. I have a feeling the show will go on
for at least a few more years in one venue or another. It really
is entertaining and energetic.

I saw it in 1997.

Good stuff, except that I was the only whitie in the audience and the announcer pointed that out before the show started.

I saw it for free, and yes, it's good. Tons of Japanese in the audience.

I wouldn't have paid for it, because the price was really high.

There's a freebie mag around that usually has 30% of Nanta tickets for up to 4 folk. Worth looking out for.

And cheers to the OP, saved me calling to ask about ticket prices Smile

Are the seats all the same price?
