I'm bored today.
I've decided in my spare time to start developing a Dave's ESL Cafe Massive Multiplayer Online Roleplaying Game.
I'm currently developing characters for it.
So far all I have is
Spliff - Spliff is on a quest to find the cheapest second hand bargains he can. There are many sub quests for him to complete in the search for the elusive 10,000Won blender with many attachments.
He has the magical power of Danawa where he can pull the lowest new price for an item from the ethereal world. The lower the price the more mana it uses up retrieving it.
His beliefs are neutral and he is good.
Harpeau - a bard and retailer of stringed instruments with interesting names.
UERICA - little is known about this elusive character other than he/she is in a constant battle to sell random items that they have retrieved from skips and back alleys. Has the special power of sending obscure PM's to anybody who shows the slightest interest in his/her products.
UERICA lives in fear of Spliff and his Danawa power.
I got side tracked up to this point.
Need some more. |

the_beaver - generally a good guy, has odd beliefs about marriage and children. His quest is to persuade everyone that he is right, but without pissing anyone off at the same time.
Real Reality - currently MIA, but must respond to every query or statement with a series of links. The more often a link gets used the more powerful he becomes at annoying the hell out of everyone - his quest, post something of interest to everyone and engage in a real conversation - probably doomed to failure.
Tomato - Very passionate about learning Korean, but has a carrot the size of a baseball bat up his ass about Koreans who speak English to him. His quest is to learn Korean and pursuade every Korean person on the planet that it is rude to speak to foriegners in English.
Demophobe - The Yoda of computer hardware. Demophobe has the ability to assemble powerful computers on a good budget. He is extrememly knowledgable of the ins and outs of all aspects of hardware including bits of arcane trivia that enables him to troubleshoot others PCs from a distance. His quest is to build the ultimate computer out of spare parts, some twine, a paperclip and goodwill. Ultimately destined to build the Millenium Falcon of computers.
Homer - A genuine good guy, Homer enjoys his life in Korea and will rarely say anything negative. In fact he takes pleasure in pointing out the error of others negative views about Korea. Homer has found a niche in Korea with his strong Korean skills, ability to blend in with his family and other Koreans. His quest is to acknowledge the problems he has with life in Korea publically and go on a loud Rant against Korea - this quest will prove to be the most difficult thing of Homers life.
Hmm... I think this thread should be moved to off-topic where it will get more exposure. There is a lot of potential for fun, but is unlikely to happen here in the tech forum.[/b]

Cubanlord:
General: A team-based, yet surprisingly solitary enigma, the Cubanlord shows amazing monetary dexterity and is highly skilled at melting plastic in front of computer merchants.
Powers: He can out-benchmark any other carbon-based lifeform and is targeting silicon next. He has the Uber-plan of building a machine faster than itself.
Physical Characteristics: His right arm is over-developed due to his penchant for continually removing his bottomless wallet to supply his silicon lust. He can smell an overclocked system from approx. 3km and he shines brightly.
Morality: A keen wit and a well-established sense of self keep Cubanlord invulnerable to flames, sticks and stones. While it isn't uncommon to see him battling alone, he is equally at home fighting urges with the rest of the TechHeads at their homebase, Yongsan. |
