My recruiter has requested that I interview with EPIK via phone and web cam. I asked for details such as what software is to be used in order to be ready and was told I would be instructed on what to do at phone interview time.

What should I do in order to be best prepared other than buying a web cam this weekend?

What should I expect?

What might they ask and expect to hear?

Could this be a fluent English speaker calling me for an interview?

Thank you for your experienced inputs.

To be judged solely on your level of attractiveness.

I will dress up for the interview in a white shirt, tie, and blazer as they are looking at you and attractiveness is judged more on clothing choices than your body. Dressing up in business attire means a lot when it comes to physical image which is highly regarded in Korea like in America, but even more so, though schools don't seem to care how you dress as long you are covered up. A T-shirt just doesn't cut it, despite it only being a web cam interview. You have to dress for success.

Keep em' coming folks.

You should sit in front of a wall with your diploma clearly displayed behind you.

It'd look good if you had, say, the leader of your country sitting next to you too.

If the person interviewing you is Korean it'd be good to get some Konglish-listening practice in so you don't have to ask them to repeat themselves.

Feel free to complement them on how handsome they are too.

Don't worry too much about questions related to work. They probably won't come up. Be more worried about cultural questions. Be prepared to talk about Jimmy Page, or Manchester United/Park Ji-Sung or Hines Ward. A working knowledge of Hangul and having heard of King Sejong would be useful too.

Mentioning that you work hard and are glad that you might be working in th e hardest working, cleverest and best country in the world will probably be a bonus for you.

Good luck with the "Do you know Kimchi?" conversation =)

They didn't ask me to buy a webcam for my interview. Why are you so "lucky"?
