My lady and I are no longer going to purchase Samsung Anycall phones.
In the past two years, we've spent nearly 900,000 won on new phones between us. We used to believe that Anycall phones were strong, and provided some of the better technology out there.
It has become apparent to us both, however, that of the last three Anycall phones we've owned in that time (and the two others we returned for replacement) that this company has seriously gone downhill.
I don't know what it is -- cost-cutting measures, outsourcing work to China, bad design -- it doesn't matter.
Their phones are really starting to suck, and are hardly worth common market price, let alone the premium we paid for them. |

I bought my new anycall for 10K Won. I only had sign up for a 1 or 3 month plan with it. It works fine. It may not be top of the line, but the price was right.
It has mp3, 1.3MP cam, video, internet, micro-sd, video-calling, etc, etc.
for 10 bucks! |

Hmm. I bought mine in early 2006 for $70. The camera is like .2mp . It doesn't have an mp3 player. I DID smash the front screen and it still works fine though.
I used to be really, really into phones a few years ago. I'd buy the latest models all the freakin time. Now... I don't bother. I have a separate d-ca that does what I need, I have an mp3 that does what I need, and I have a phone that does what I need.
If there's ever a phone that takes GOOD photos with a decent flash at 5 megapixels or higher AND has a slot for a micro-sd card, AND plays mp3s as well as letting me store photos on that card, and it isn't big, AND is less than $150 I'll consider upgrading.
I'm gladly looking forward to the day when my above paragraph is laughably low-spec and overpriced and deserving of being Spliffed. (Go look in the early pages of this forum if Spliffworthiness turns you on.) |
