Ron Paul for President Mass Donation Day
http://www.TeaParty07.com
http://www.ronpaul2008.com/

Today is the anniversary of the Boston Tea Party. Help restore the constitution and freedoms to the American people. Donate today!

Update: 8am EST: They are already over 12million. Quickly approaching 13million. Amazing.

11:30am EST: Almost 14 million. It looks like Ron Paul is already half way beating their record breaking single day fundraising of 4.2 mill just as the day is starting.

Ron Paul raised over 6 million in one day, breaking the fundraising records set by John Kerry's 5.7 million. He is quickly approaching 19 million in campaign totals, pushing him ahead of most of the supposed republican front-runners. Yet there is barely a peep over mainstream media (MSM) the campaign's astonishing achievements...

So.. Ron Paul supporters and non-supporters...share your thoughts?

Hmmm...where's the thread that was up earlier posting a chart of how much (not much) he was getting in pledges today? At that point it was under $1 million at 2PM.

I think that thread has been deleted. Too bad. I thought my suggestion that the Paulistas wait for April 23 and celebrate Timothy McVeigh's birthday would be a good idea. It would also give the 6-year olds time to save up their nickles. Guy Fawkes Day was barely a month ago.

The last "money bomb" for Ron Paul raised $4.3 million in actual donations (not pledges) in a 24 hour period. That is now the single day fundraising record on line. The highest of any candidate in this cycle.

For the 4th quarter Ron Paul is over $13 million, which may put him number one among the Republican candidates. Many of the so-called "leaders" have seen their fundraising dry up since the 3rd quarter.

Today's money bomb is running ahead of the last one at this point during the day, although only by $500,000.

Still, the last one set a record, surprising everyone, and it will be a bigger surprise to surpass the last record only 6 weeks later.

Silly Yata.

It is right now only 9:45 am on the East Coast.

Ron Paul is ahead of the same point in time on Nov 5th, having raised over $1.5 million in actual donations (not pledges), so far, and most of the country is still sleeping.

At this rate, Ron Paul should break $5 million today, and set a new record.

Yata, you seem to be sleeping even when you're awake.

Fun stuff!

1.6 million at 10am NYC time and they've already broken their Q4 goal of 12 million.

And here are supporters in New York cheering as the numbers pass 12 million:

Kind of funny to see hundreds of people gathered in a dark bar cheering on primary donation numbers while rock blasts in the background.

proof that you can't buy an election. Huckabee has surged while Paul hasn't really gone up at all in the polls in the past couple weeks.

Haven't there been substantive allegations of blatant big media CENSORSHIP & rigged polls?

Populist Ron Paul had as much as 75% in one CNBC poll, then THEY PULLED IT OFF-LINE Idea

Politics as usual.

Online polls are a little different from real-life polls and the people involved in them.
Nonetheless, Paul's moneybomb has exploded.

Paul raises millions in 24-hour effort

While this guy is unelectable, he is showing that he is a formidable force in the Republican race. He can't win the primary, but he will win enough votes away from the other douchebags like Giuliani or McCain.
While I am not a fan of his, I see why he is popular. Pound for pound, he has less drama/bullcrap associated with himself than
Giuliani- who's so dirty he makes Jeff Abramoff look clean
McCain- who can't go 5 days without looking like an idiot
Tancredo and Romney- hired the very illegal immigrants they rail against daily.
Hunter- still going nowhere
Huckabee- now the front runner but effectively toasted after the pardons got leaked.
Thompson- he's so damn old, ugly and clueless his wife might as well run for president. Also a Nixon crony.
Keyes- don't get me started about Keyes.
Is it any wonder why he's dropping da moneybomb? Everybody else stinks!

My interest has been peaked on Ron Paul due to all the enthusiasm for him on this board so I've been reading up on him. In another thread I've expressed incredulosity for his anti-abortion stance, so I'll leave that there.

However, there's a fair bit of references by Paul supporters that seem, for lack of a better term, racist. Nothing out and out, I hate non-whities, but a lot of intimating to that effect. I haven't found anything Paul himself has said that was straight out racist, but I've only spent an hour reading articles online.

So, supporters, is this true? Detractors?
