Try this Spanish language school (hagwon) in the Gangnam area of Seoul, South Korea.

Name: Feliz
Phone (when calling from within Korea): 02-565-5488
Website: http://www.felizspanish.co.kr/

Good luck!

Look at international schools. Most here follow the American curriculum so Spanish has to be taught.

We have a guy from Spain at our school.

Have you been there? Do the teachers teach ALL in Spanish? Do foreigners study there as well?

I'd love to attend a hogwan for Spanish.

I have not taken classes there but many of my native-speaker English teacher co-workers have. I teach English at a hagwon that is close to
Feliz.

A few months ago about 5-8 of my native-speaker English teacher co-workers were taking a Spanish class there together. The class they were taking just consisted of them. So yes, foreigners do study there as well.

In their class, since they were just beginners, English was used as the language of instruction. But I'm assuming that higher-level classes would be done just in Spanish.

Also, if anyone is interested in studying French, there is a French hagwan in the same area -- Kangnam subway station. I know a guy from France who is teaching French there.

And if anyone is interested in studying Korean, Chinese or Japanese, there is at least one hagwon in that same area -- Kangnam subway station -- that teaches one or more of those languages: I know one hagwon there that offers courses for those three languages along with English courses, and one hagwon there that teachs just Chinese.

Languages are cool!

Teaching Spanish in Korea
I found a couple of hakwons that teach Spanish. Theyre both in Gangnam, near Gangnam station.

Feliz Spanish
[email protected]
Exit 6 of Gangnam, left side, across from Adidas and Rebok.
Sochogu, Sochudong, Yu Wha Building, 5th floor.
Tel 02.592.5481 Fax 02.592.5282

Real Academia
[email protected]
Yeoksam, Seongong Building, 8th floor
Tel 02.322.9709

Supposedly theres also a couple behind the English Channel Building in Gangnam, but I havent been able to find the English Channel Building. Itaewon is also supposed to have some Spanish hakwons as well.

I also found a place online that allows you to advertise being a teacher. www.language-teachers-schools.com

You might also be able to make a few contact at Macondo Salsa Club in Hongdae or Salsa Club above Nashville in Itaewon. Or the Spanish Mass at the International Catholic Church next to Dankook University. Spanish Mass is at 12:30pm on Sunday.

If anyone knows of any other places, please post them.

I teach Spanish at an international school. International schools require their teachers to have teaching certificates.

My wife is a native Spanish speaker with an education degree from a S.American country, and years of experience teaching Spanish. All of the academies she applied to were willing to give her work, but none legally! We said "adios" to all of them.

I saw an ad in today's The Korea Times newspaper for a Spanish teacher (along with English, French, Japanese and Chinese). I've cut and pasted the ad below:

"Wanted: Qualified Native Speaker of English, French, Spanish, Japanese and Chinese with experience in teaching kids (5 to 8 of age) by the Polyglot Day School, in Bundang, Gyeonggido
Send to [email protected]"
