Quite often, I have a private that cancels at last minute. Today I was on my way there and they called to cancel. Many other times, they don't think ahead, and I get there to be told they can not study because they're 'too busy'. I charge them for the class regardless.

My question is, how much notice is appropriate to not pay for the class? I generally work on 24 hours for my Saturday private job, and for the other one, if I am not on my way there yet.

p.s. Before anyone here pulls a Steve McGarrett, I am legal to work privates, as are may of us.

I get last minute cancels one or two times a month. usually, I am relieved because I am tired.

I think 24 hours is standard; but do you ever cancel?

I've had to cancel more than a few times and sometimes it was with just a few hours notice. So, I don't really expect my guys to give me more than an hour notice.

It's up to you. I never charge when someone cancels because all of my guys are pretty close to my officetel (within walking distance).

If I had to get on a bus or the train, and I got a phone call half way to Seoul; I'd be pissed and would probably cancel the lesson indefinately.
