I'll be doing an interview to be part of EPIK. What questions should I expect during a phone interview from the Ministry of Education? Any suggestions and/or advice on questions I should ask them?
Thanks in advance. |

What's your name?
How old are you?
Then..... you are very Hansome/pretty
You speak englisheee well
When can you start?
That was mine.
In truth most of the REAL questions come after they hire you
these can be a pain. But, if you have everything you should then no issues there either. Epik is a decent program and next year they really are trying to step things up in the areas of support and training.
Good luck ..............don't stress |

i just finished my EPIK phone interview. they seemed impressed that i had substitute teaching experience. they said they no longer had any positions in seoul, or in any of my preferred locations, but that they had a position in some town two hours away from seoul (i can't even remember the name, starts with a D).
she didn't mention anything about visa applications, just to expect to hear by from my recruiter (tenetkorea). is that a bad sign? |

I guess the city could have been Daejon or Daegu. Do you think it would be hard to find a position in Busan? |

No not a bad sign lol BUT!! no spaces left lol riiiiiiigggght. Your recruiter is signed up to fill spots in small towns so that is why they're saying there is nothing left and Seoul isn't even under epik lol it is SMOE and they have a different hiring proccess that hasn't even started yet AND busan or any of the large cities wont start looking untill after vacation.
BUT!! small towns are always looking becuase NO ONE wants to go there they even pay more lol and still can't fill the spots. But, in truth Epik never fills ALL of its spots anywhere and this year they are going to try and double the NT staff in the county and raised the pay scale.
But if you want to start tommorow then yea they are maybe telling you the truth just remember recruiter.
Oh, And an after thought did you even interview with Epik or just another recruiter or the admin for the school they want you at.
Don't worry about not being told about the Visa stuff on the phone K-schools just assume after the interview that you are now theres and you are just #$%&^ yourself waiting to get here. Heck if you talked to the Admin at the school the whole town has been told that you are coming lol no joke. Don't worry take your time and find what you want it is not as difficult as it seems when new.
remember your in control lol really |

So you are breathing now. I can tell because we are talking.
Can you be breathing when you come to Korea?
Can you continue breathing and generating body heat as long as you are in Korea?
Ok. Great. You got the job.
Oh, you do have a real degee, don't you? |
