hey there friends-
I want to teach English in Seoul, but my main concern is finding a good school. How do I know what school I should teach in? Any suggestions?
Here are a few things about me that may help:
-I actually want to teach, and plan on teaching in Spain, amongst other places.
-I don't mind working at all, but I do not want to be a slave! I want to be able to explore quite a bit while I am there.
-I don't want to have cameras staring at me or standing up for hours straight (like at the school YES)
-I have a BA in Philosophy and Art----art/creativity is my passion.
-Native English speaker
-I am currently a private English tutor
thank you all for any help---if you guys have any questions or comments about anything, feel free to ask. |

Reading the FAQs and stickies about jobs in Korea will be your first assignment. Those, along with the current postings in the job-related discussion, will help guide you in looking for a good school.
Public schools are usually better than hogwan jobs in terms of teaching as you have a Korean teacher with you to do the babysitting. |

Why do you care about the CCTV? I wouldn't want to teach without it.
Anyway, stay away from the YBMs in Seoul. Terrible conditions. |

You will know a good school when it provides a good contract. |
