Yeah, dealing with the human trafficking problem is Canada's biggest failure as a nation.

Somehow I thought Canadians' committment to human rights went further than 'What you do with those women after you smuggle them to other countries is your business'. Silly me.

I remember when I was reading a thread on here a few weeks ago where Canadians were really angry about all the Mexicans who were making their way into Canada illegally and this was somehow America's fault. It's really interesting how Canadians always blame the USA for everything, yet when they are directly responsible for something remotely similar, "it's not our problem, it's your problem."

Case in point:

I don't see how you can call me personally a hypocrite. I never made any mention of the issue you are talking about.

However, if Canada is indeed blaming America for illegal immigrants from Mexico coming into Canada via the United States, then they are wrong to do so. So don't call me a hypocrite for something I have never said.

Back to the topic, however:

America is responsible for it's own border policing. As is Canada.

If America does not want those Koreans to enter illegally, they should take the measures needed to prevent it.

And if Canada does not want those Mexicans to enter illegally, same applies.

Canadian tax-payers are not responsible for enforcing American laws. And vice-versa.

That is nonsense. We have a longstanding and very, very important relationship with the United States. We have a responsibility to ensure that Canada is not a staging ground for illegal immigration and they have the same responsibility to us. Both countries will have success and failures but both have to try. Canada must not encourage the mouth breathers in the Republican party to start crying about the northern invasion.
