...compared to Singapore. They don't sell chewing gum here in Singapore...wtf? And cigs cost $12 a pop...wtf? And I thought they were expensive in NYC!

But damn, the weather is nice here. Not looking forward to returning to freezing cold Seoul at all.

Chewing gum is not only not sold there, it is outlawed. And if oyu need smokes, you can get them at rock bottom prices if you buy them duty free. The catch I hear is you are not allowed to smoke them there if you buy them this way.

Nah the guy at the 7-11 said that people can buy chewing gum elsewhere and bring it into the country but you just can't buy it here...though I hear there's a "black market" for chewing gum.

You're only allowed to bring in 3 (or is it 2?) packs of cigarettes otherwise you have to declare them at customs and most likely they'll be taken away from you.

Other things about Singapore that I didn't know - you can be sentenced to death by hanging for murder.

Manslaughter - voluntary or involuntary is an automatic life sentence. In Korea isn't it only 5 years in jail?

Singapore is socially, aesthetically, architecturally, financially, environmentally, culturally, culinarily superior to Korea. No contest.

Indeed Justin. My Thai g/f just came back from there and liked it a lot. Says we should open our restaurant there.

So what are the girls like in Singapore? I haven't been there, but have been to many other parts of Asia, and I have never found any girls who compare aesthetically to Koreans. Especially in terms of height and leg length.

While I tend to agree with you, Singapore is at best deserving of the oxymoronic label "enlightened authoritarianism."

Don't like the LBFMs, eh? Well, you need to get out and about more. Northeast China (i.e. Manchuria) also has women of your preference and so, too, does Mongolia.

And those girls are also more likely to be aesthetically pleasing in a deeper sense, that is, possessing warmth of character. Ouch.
Ouch.

But thanks for the pic; she has nice legs. Wonder if she's got the mascara caked on under those specs, though?

I personally will never be a fan of a country that outlaws oral sex if it does not lead to penetration. What is the point of living exactly if your cant get a nosh? You have to be a bit boring to want to live with that

I've been to Singapore several times. It's nice after roughing it in Sumatra for a few weeks, but as for living there? Forget it! Too sterile & authoritarian. The food is great, though.

A rework of the old Beach Boys song:

Well east Asian girls are hip
I really dig those styles they wear
And the Singapore girls with the way they talk
They knock me out when Im down there

The Chinese farmers daughters really make you feel alright
And the Mongol girls with the way they kiss
They keep their boyfriends warm at night

I wish they all could be Korean
I wish they all could be Korean
I wish they all could be Korean girls

The Thai coast has the sunshine
And the girls all get so tanned
I dig a any bikini on Hainan island
Dolls by a palm tree in the sand

I been all around this great big world
And I seen all kinds of girls
Yeah, but I couldnt wait to get back to Seoul
Back to the cutest girls in the world

I wish they all could be Korean
I wish they all could be Korean
I wish they all could be Korean girls

I wish they all could be Korean
(girls, girls, girls yeah I dig the)
I wish they all could be Korean
