8800GTS 320mb, 8800GT 512mb or Radeon 3870. Looking on gmarket.com and danawa.com the Radeon is the cheapest and the 8800GTS is still more expensive than the GT version.
Is it worth me selling or trading in my 8800GTS for either of the other cards? |

Forget about the 8800GTS 320mb.
8800GT or HD3870.........Depends on price. The 8800GT is about 15% faster than the HD3870. So if you can get a HD3870 for more than 15% cheaper than an 8800GT then you're getting a deal.
The popularity of the 8800GT's will keep their price high for at least a couple of months. Especially in bargain-allergic Korea.
I'm using an HD3870. It's pretty sweet. |

I'm thinking I'll be getting either the 3870, or maybe even the 3850. Depends on the reviews they get. The 8800GTS 512MB looks nice, but is most likely overkill for what I'd need. The 3870 is probably a very good choice for most people, unless you're an extreme gamer on a big monitor.
With what eamo said, I've heard the 8800GT is about 20% faster, so look at the prices and figure the value.

I have the 3850 and I tell you, its a champ. Overclocks well and I haven't had a hitch playing any games at 1600x1200, save Crysis, which does well at 1280x1024, all settings on Medium. Call of Duty 4, UT3, Gears of War, Splinter Cell: Double Agent, Bioshock...all are sweet. At 1600x120, AA is actually superfluous (particularly on a CRT), and the card does well with 8xAF.
If I had a bigger budget at the time, I would have gone with the 3870. Doesn't overclock as well, but the extra RAM makes a difference. The 3850 recently came out with 512MB RAM, but the price is so close to the 3870, hardly makes it a deal.
3850 is the bang for buck king, with the 3870 right on it's heels. |

| Read his post again; he claims to have a 8800GTS already in there. If that is the case I wouldn't upgrade. You already have a card that's decent, and you wouldn't get any kind of performance boost worth the money. Wait for the next gen. |

I got hold of an 8800GTS 320mb at the weekend. I swapped it for my 8600GTS with my girl's sister. Not a bad deal, eh? I saw the 8800GT and noticed it was cheaper than my card, so I immediately considered the possibility of a sale or trade-in. Realistically though, who would buy an 8800GTS when the other cards are a lot cheaper? |

If you already have an 8800 of any flavor already then don't worry about it.
If you're buying a new card the 3870 is probably the better deal. The rendering quality is supposedly better, and supposedly outperforms the GT in some instances. |

If you already have an 8800GTS 320mb then stick with that for, maybe, 6 months until newer substantially better cards are affordable. The performance difference between your card and the new ones at the moment isn't enough to warrant an upgrade. |
