Can anyone point me in the right direction or supply me with a list of Universities in Seoul that offer an MA in International Relations? I'm considering the value of studying here in Korea, and would be keen to hear back from anyone who has studied at postgraduate level here. How was your experience and was it worth the time/money?
Thanks for any help! |

The only option you have is the top three
Seoul, Yonsei and Korea.
Call them. |

The good news is that the Korean government is desperate for international students to go study in Korea that they are offering scholarships that include:
Return airfare
Monthly allowance
Language Training expenses
Insurance
A variety of other allowances
I know that they are offering them for New Zealand students but I'm sure there are other countries that also offer them. |

Hanyang and Ewha have international grad schools, too. For my money, I'd go to either Yonsei or Korea University, though.
The other poster gave great advice, too. Check out the Korea foundation and some other organizations to score a scholarship and/or support. |

Crazymongrelgirl: What info can you share about special scholarships for Kiwis? I am thinking about returning to studies... |

Thanks for the replies. I'm actually wondering whether it would be better to go back home (the UK) to study or study here in Korea. From what I gather the courses here are all two years long, whereas back home I could do it in a year. The scholarship route sounds interesting though, and since I am interested in the Asia-Pacific region it would make sense to study in a country like Japan or Korea.
Secondly, since I'm currently teaching here, if I decided to study here and switch to a student visa, would I be able to apply and complete the whole application procedure from Korea, or would I have to go back home in order to arrange this?
Thanks again! |
