To be honest there used to one in Shinchon but I think it is gone.
What i do is just treat myself a trip to Fukuoka or Osaka and just stock up there. The selection of techno / electronica is so much more there. |

Try Hyang's Umaksa in Shinchon. I used to go there all the time and it has a lot of hard to find tracks. It's right next to the Popeye's that is near the three pharmacies. In the same building as Hyang's, there is a used CD shop on the fifth floor owned by the same guy.
Or try Synnara Records in the basement of the building where TGI Friday's is in Sinchon. |

Technomart has an extremely crappy selection of CD's, I was there on the weekend. Actually, I find Technomart to be extremely crappy in general.. just a million booths selling the same crap.
I mean really, just look at the Cell Phone floor.. you've got hundreds of booths selling identical phones. |

as your attorney i advise you to:
stand outside the front gate of hong-ik university (line 2 - get directions to the actual university from the maps in the station). cross the road and walk up the street that runs next to the little park. look for city beat records on the right side opposite the familymart/buytheway (i forget). Talk to the guys in there - if they don't have what you're looking for they'll at least be able to give you directions to any place that does. Hongdae is the area for specialist music shops.
going to technomart for serious music is probably ill advised. |
