|
|
I just noticed something - when typing hanja out in Korean, up to now I've been typing out the characters one at a time, pressing ctrl and then selecting the hanja one by one. I just found an easier way.
First, write out everything in Korean. Then, move the mouse onto the first character you want to change to hanja. Press the right ctrl key with your left hand and select the hanja with the mouse. It will change it to hanja and automatically move to the next character, whereupon you repeat with the ctrl key and the mouse once again.

It's a lot faster now! The bottom sentence took me about ten seconds.
Just had a scary thought - maybe everybody already knew this...? |

Is it anything like typing kanji in Japanese? Type in the kana, then hit space bar and it will automatically select the most appropriate kanji for the kana you typed. If its not correct, you can choose from a submenu... |

No, because it doesn't recognize words as a whole like it does with Japanese. You have to go one character at a time which is why I've hated it so much, but this tip I just learned saves a lot of time. Still not as fast as typing in Japanese though. |
