i was on my way to work today, and it turns out that my fuel tank low light quit working. so i was 150 feet away from the gas station (where i wasn't going) when my car decided it was empty.

i hit my emergency blinkers and rolled my window down so i could push and steer from outside. i started pushing my car, and within 30 seconds i had four people pushing my car off the rainy road.

people in the Korea can be a hell of a lot nicer than what we give them credit for, yes?

kickass Cool

lol
you can get "as kind" as koreans elsewhere but not kinder imho. When you engage them on a personal level that is. It's the jingoistic newspaper/media/government levels that lets the side down.
Come to the uk and you won't be invited into someones house and fed and watered as freely. Or entertained. Though you won't get c o c k blocked as long as it ain't someone's girlfriend.
The big pity with korea is that for most of us we can only experience the place long-term if we are teaching english. And that'll grind you down eventually, no matter who you are.

French film 'The Intamacy of Strangers' is really good.

I got on the bus the other day and had only 10,000 Won notes and my card had no value. A young Korean Woman got up and paid my 1,800 fare for me. Thanks for that, if you're reading this!
