Fresh spinach is in every supermarket. I would kill for frozen spinach, though. And I live outside Seoul, so there's little use in traveling 4 hours for frozen foods.

Canned chickpeas are in the foreign food aisle of the grocery stores in Hyndai and Shinsegae Dept. Stores.

Incidentally, the Hyundai Dept. store at Coex has an excellent and very large foreign food section, with a lot of nice European foods and condiments. The chickpeas are from Italy, and the label says "Ceci."

Freeze your own? I do!

Here's one method I follow:

Not a bad idea, Tzechuk, and far better than my tactic of just throwing the fresh bunches into the freezer... Laughing I just wish I had, without any effort on my part, a bag I could open and throw a handful of spinach bits into whatever I'm cooking.

Creamed spinach for a Filipino Christmas, anyone?
