Look on the label next to the power plug. If it says:
"input 110-240VAC" then you are fine with a simple plug adapter.
If it says 220-240VAC then sell it. It will not run in Canada (voltage there is 110-120VAC). The cost of rewireing a circuit up to 220 volts will cost more than the loss you take selling your appliance here.
--------------------------------------------------
It is easy to get step-down transformers - change line voltage from 240 down to 110 (use north American electronics here).
It is almost impossible to get step-UP transformers - change line voltage from 110-240 (to use Asian appliances in north America). |

Thanks...I had a feeling it wouldn't just be a matter of buying a new plug adapter... off to the buy and sell forum I guess... |
