Hi Everyone,

I am curious if anyone can give me information about the bus that runs from Krabbi city in Thailand to Singapore. I am hoping to bus it to the airport. I saw that it was available when I was last there but can't remember the details.

How long does it take?

How much does it cost?

How often does it go?

It is insanely busy or is getting a ticket easy in the high season?

Cheers,

Michelle

Flights are peanuts to Singapore.

That would be one grueling long-assed bus ride.
You'd need buns of iron.
take a plane.

You could take the train as well.

22 hours Bkk to Hat Yai
5 hours Hat Yai to Malaysia
22 Hours Malaysia to border Singapore
3 Hours into Singapore.

Thanks for the info guys. Rethinking it now.

Mr Squirrel, can I get more info on the train?

I have no doubt if I was coming from Bangkok but I am coming from Kraabi so it does make a long trip.

I didn't realise it would be that long on a train. 52 hours?

Been in the miniscule country of kore too long.

Cheers,

Michelle

There's no train station in Krabi. Nearest one is probably Surathani or Hat Yai. Trains are super slow though. Buses are a little faster but still a pain, especially if you get on the local bus - you'll be stopping every 3 hours at food stands where the Thais (meaning everyone on the bus EXCEPT you) will be gorging down inedible grub (literally).

Take a plane.

^ Grub is ok at most of the stations now.

Eaten at a few grim ones.

You should be able to fly from Krabi to Malaysia easily enough.

Mr Squrrel,

I can't thank you enough for that tip!

Me and my friends pocket books will be thanking you down the track too!

Why would you train it when they have these prices on airfares!

Insane!

Train is OK, Hat Yai to BKK is quite nice just long.

If you have the time it's ok but getting from Hat Yai to Sing is a pain.

I would take a taxi myself from Kota Baru or Penang, but I never really got into the whole conventional travelling thing.
