|
|
Hey all,
Im taking a vacation to Thailand during the lunar holiday and have been spending countless hours searching for the cheapest flights possible and I dont seem to be finding any prices well below 1000 bucks like I've read on here that some people have found. Therefore, I am wondering if anybody has a specific airline/travel agent and or travel agency/or anything else anybody has used RECENTLY to find a ticket to Thailand that will be of some direct help to my problem. Ive spent countless hours on Dave's as well looking through all of the post that people have written but they seem to have just suggestions as to where to go or what to do, and I think if I take the time to go through and contact all the numerous travel agents people have listed or search through all of the sites I may go crazy and just give up. So please, if anybody has recently just booked a plane ticket to thailand for a very good price, will you please tell me where or who you went through, as well as maybe the price you paid. Thanks all! |

I bought one from here:

You need to read Hangul, or ask a Korean to help you. My ticket cost about 700,000...you will not find one much below 800,000 now though.
Another thing is that most tickets are on a waiting list now as well, so you may not be able to confirm your seat. |

Hey, try this link below. I think you will find it VERY useful:
http://forums.eslcafe.com/korea/viewforum.php?f=2
It is called the "Travel Forum". Sorry if it was confusing. That
is where people post with "travel" related questions. |

Cohiba, remember that the people here only have BAs. Do you really expect them to be able to successfully maneuver through the complicated and confusing maze of fora that is Dave's? I mean, come on now. Maybe if they had PhDs... |

It's really comforting to know that our academic elite have nothing better to do with their time than whine about people's posts on Daves. I'm guessing you found a link to your online PhD from an internet personal's site? Or did you buy it off the street in Itaewon? GET A LIFE!!! The guy just wants some help.
Oh, FYI, I bought my tickets through a friend. I don't know the travel agent she used, but it was only 700. However, I think you waited a little too long. All the flights will probably be booked by now so your only option may be a 1000 dollar ticket. You can tray calling around, but have a Korean do it for you unless you speak well. Best of luck. |

The wife just booked us a pair of tickets with EVA Air (Seoul - Taipei - BKK) for 385,000 each (add on another 100,000 each for tax). We're flying out on the 2nd of Feb and returning on the 16th, nice to escape the Chinese New Year crap here.
I'll ask her which website she used (Korean website of course) and post it up.
We were on a waiting list thing but chances are you're gonna wait and wait and end up with no ticket in the end. Better just to get a seat on a flight you know is yours. |

Hey, thanks everybody for all your help, I greatly appreciate it. That website would be great spongbob if you could post it. I know what you mean about the waitlist thing. I got put on two of them already, so I guess it wouldnt hurt to try out the website you and your wife used and see if they have some seats available. Thanks again! |
