What good place(s) (or as good as it gets) are there for tanning in Bundang? I'm specifically located at the intersection of Gungnae Jct & Gungnaedari-gi.
Thanks, |

Good luck finding that! This is a country that values pale faces (i.e. umbrellas in the slightest glimpse of sun, removable sleeves to wear while driving) ... sick sick sick .. tan is better! |

Better to be pale than to end up with skin cancer and extra wrinkles. |

Yes, I know tanning is very rare here. I've seen other threads that listed a few tanning spots in other areas of Korea though, so I imagine there's at least one commercial tanning bed somewhere in Bundang, I just need the right person to read this.
And yes, I am aware of the skin cancer/wrinkling effects. However, unlike most health topics, to me it's worth it to partake of this bad thing (whether that be real or artificial sun) just to keep the pastiness @ bay a little bit. |

I used to work in Bun-dang, but don't know the area so well. I hope to get you a start, though -
If you are at Mi-geum station, at the Outback Steakhouse, and look across the street & up to the right (like above the Subway sandwich place, if it is still there), there are a couple of masssage/beauty places and yoga studios - this block has a lot of women's-oriented services.
I HAVE seen ads for tanning places there. And if not, someone there could probably help you find something closer to your actual place of residence and/or work.
Not much, but maybe a start?
Regards,
G. |

Hey that's pretty good, thanks. I'm (I think) just down the street from Jeongja Station, which is only one away from where you mentioned. That is, assuming I correctly remember what the station name said.
Should be fun inquiring if they have tanning since I don't speak any Korean Wish I had a printer to make a picture of a tanning bed...though not sure how many Koreans would recognize one. |

A number of the places over there had English or mixed Korean & English signs, & the place i went to (for Thai-esque massage)(legit, not the other kind) they spoke English as well.
Well, functional enough, and they also had accurate 'menus' with services & prices. |
