What job opportunities are there for a D-2 visa holder (student visa)related to teaching-english, english camps, staffs, etc. If somebody knows something, please let me know. |

After six months/one semester, you can get permission to work.
Your school has to agree to your working, and you have to have Immigration approval. It's a process similar to adding a second workplace to an E-2 visa.
The rules seem to say you should be doing work related to your major. If you are a native speaker of English, you may be offered English teaching work.
I know an English camp and other winter programs on my campus will have D-2s working there with permission. |

You can ask any winter camp. It's just a regular kids' winter camp. |

Are you a BA candidate? I know Korean BA students are working at these camps, no idea about the requirements for foreigners. |

We had a Philippina English teacher at our school who was on a student visa. I had assumed that this was illegal, but when immigration came to the school, they knew all about her, and it was cool... |

i just called immigration and they said in order to work as a teacher, you need an e-2 visa and the requirement for that visa is having a BA degree. i wonder if there are any exceptions. |

A foreigner can work as a teacher without an E2 degree, but you have to still meet the requirements of an E2 degree, which include a BA. |

Could she have been half Korean? I know the FT at a public school around here is half-Korean and thus teaching English on a different visa. |

Filipinos can work on a student visa. With special permission they can even teach English. |
