So I was wondering how much a pap test with all the trimmings costs here at the regular old doctor (NOT at the International Clinic).

I just got back from the International Clinic and I am feeling robbed. I have Korean medical insurance. I had asked before I made an appt how much it costs, and was informed 20,000. Tech a pap smear just tests for cervical cancer. And in order to get the STD, HPV testing and everything else (which is the reason we really go for one)....its 70,000. I kinda new it was 2 different tests but totally forgot. In Canada they just do the whole shabang, and since I never see a bill I forgot it was 2 different tests.

I am curious how much it costs if one just goes to a regular old DR. I know u risk the English part but I have found most DR's speak basic English and there isnt much u need to know ....claymadia - yes or no.

Mine is usually about 20K and I am in Daejeon.

My doc likes to also do a sonogram, though, and that's another 30K or so.

I've decided not to get a sonogram this year... they are a pain in the ---, literally!!!!!!!!
