My contract and ARC (E-2) expire January 19 on the same day. Am I supposed to work till the last day? If so by what date must I be out of Korea?
I would rather stay an extra couple of days and do a bit of travel/shopping before leaving. Is it possible to arrange this or do I have to leave on the day? |

contracts and your ARC are both 1 year long, so they usually expire on the same day. u must be out of the country before your ARC expires, however i've heard u can go down to immi and show them your plane ticket out and ARC and get them to extend your card til your plane departure date |

Have a look at your ARC card. Ring the number on it, & ask them. The immigration date of departure, will always over-ride the contract termination date. I got a 2 week extension from Immigration, by providing proof of departure date, with my airline ticket to China. |
