haeundae beach is generally where people go, i've been a couple times. there's definitely no shortage of places to stay, and in january every hotel will be dirt cheap. there's some small yagwons near the beach to the west of the mcdonald's that are like 20k a night off-season. U2, near the novatel, seemed to be the most happening bar in the area. the aquarium on the beach is nice, but a little pricey. in the underground plaza near the aquarium there is, to my knowledge, the only dairy queen in korea. outside of haeundae, gwangali beach is nice as well, though i've never stayed there so i don't know about accommodation. samyeon seems to be the best area for clubbing, and there's some cheap hotels there too. nampo-dong markets and the jagalchi fish market are worth a look as well. |
