Why do people do this?

This kind of behavior should be banned.

Please delete all the OP's posts and bring back the Don't Do It Boys! thread and make it a sticky.

Thanks, D00D!

Posters who question why others bump old threads should be banned.

So there.

what's wrong with bumping up old threads? i bumped up a 'how to make a pizza from scratch' thread the other day because i was using the recipe given on there that day and it works so well that i thought other people who hadn't seen it the first time around might benefit from having it bumped to the top.

in the future, i plan to bump up the thread in which i seek advice about opening a bar in korea, as i'm still seeking advice from anyone who has it to offer. should i be banned for this?

The thing that gets me is that on other forums, like www.avsforum.com , when you start a new thread, it gives you a list of 5 other threads that match your topic. It politely asks you to continue your question in another thread which was already started.

Why can't this be done here?

Maybe it's a software thing.

We should keep bumping this thread, forever and ever, until it surpasses that Rteacher Creationist thread (320-some-odd pages)...
