My girlfriend from Brazil is planning to visit me in Korea and I was just wondering rather than her getting a tourist visa again and having to re-enter the country every 3 months, is it possible for me to sponsor some sort of visa for her for a longer length of time?? Anyone know if there is some type of visa in which this would be possible??

On an E-2 visa?????? You have no rights. Korea wants to cut down on the number of E-2ers. They certainly don't want your girlfriend here.

3 months at a time is the longest visa she'll probably get, unless I'm very misinformed.

Unless she is your spouse or immediate family member that you support (you need to show why you support them and how you plan to do that), no you can't support another person while on an E2 visa.

I know places in Europe would let you do that, but not Korea....

How about her getting a student visa to study a few hours a day, she may also be allowed to do some part-time work (Not 100% sure though.)

From my understanding, she might have to be enrolled full-time to get a student visa AND she IS able to work on a student visa.....as long as it doesn't interfere with her studies (she needs to be in class a certain percent of the time to keep her status...)

Is there anyone out there on a Student visa who can enlighten us????
