Also, he keeps saying English teachers, sex offenders, drug addicts and fake degree holders as if they are the same thing. Very offensive in a subtle yet not so subtle way.
This is what I find to be insulting and offensive.
If I chose to leave Korea, and return home it is NOT to avoid entrapment, but rather to avoid being treated like a potential criminal, while my crime free 10 years in Korea are ignored.
This treatment is unprofessional, and way too pali pali to be credible.
I do agree that folk working with children ought have a criminal record check (this is already mandatory in my home country). In fact I think this is progress. I am a professional, and therefore would like to see the sector working with children regulated for the childrens' protection. In the long run it will be for the benefit for our profession, as well as the children.
One thing I find hysterical is Koreans asking teachers to be tested for alcoholism. Never before have I seen being 'drunken' so accepted. One question, how are they going to check for this disease? A blood test, a breath test, a scan or a liver biopsy? |
