Hey Guys,
I know this has been done so many times before, but my search never works on this site, so, for those of you who don't mind repeating previous info. you have given, I would really appreciate it.

I am hoping to come to Korea in May on a six month contract, possibly longer. But I want to initially start on a six month contract, and pay my own flight. I know this means no bonus and no paid flight, which I am fine with.

I am currently finishing my EDU degree and will be done in April.

Does anyone know if this is common or of any school/recruiters who hire on a six month basis? Any info appreciated. Thanks!

F-visa holders can easily get 6-month contracts.

E-2 visas will be considerably harder, but I'd say that it may be possible if you have all of your documents ready IMMEDIATELY. The reason for this, as you may well know, is because of the difficulty that recruiters are currently having for filling positions, as a result of the new E-2 visa laws.

Once they figure a way around the E-2 visa regulations, or once enough people have had enough time to amass all the documents...I'd say your chances are slim to slim-er....I can't imagine it taking until April for things to work themselves out, one way or another. ESL is a huge market here, but as big as it is, I'd say you'll have some trouble finding what you're looking for, if your degree won't be in hand until April.

Good luck.

I have an f-4 visa but the only jobs i have found so far are one year contract public school jobs. is there another site or "secret f-visa society" that i can search to find 6 month contracts?
