I've just sold my soul and bought a black iPod classic, as a christmas pressie for me. Now I need to find myself a dock which will permanently house the iPod. I would nip down to yongsan but as I am 5000 miles away atm, it's a little difficult.
I've done a little research online, and there seems to be a multitude of docks available, all doing a whole host of different things. The difficulty is working out which are garbage and which are niiice. And also, which ones are readily available in Korea.
I am looking for something in black around 200k, with decentish speakers, and a reasonable set of ins n outs. Remote control and alarm clock / radio would be nice, but not essential.
Does this sound like anything you can recommend? Do you own the dock of my dreams?? Answers on a postcard please.... |

A great place to check for ipod accessories/docks is www.ilounge.com
I have the JBL ontime. I really like it. The sound is great (could go a little louder, but I like ear shattering volume), there is an alarm clock (nice feature) and the design is great. The only downside is no remote. It comes in White, Black and gunmetal (the one I have). Here it is: http://www.jbl.com/home/products/product_detail.aspx?prod=JBL%20ON%20TIME
Ebay l be the best price, I got mine for $150 usd 6 months ago.
If I were shopping right now I would go with this one: XtremeMac Luna Alarm Clock + Room Audio System for iPod http://www.ilounge.com/index.php/ipod/review/xtrememac-luna-alarm-clock-room-audio-system-for-ipod/
At a lower price the JBL on stage is decent (remember that you can use he alarm function in your ipod and blast it hrough the speakers), sonic impact also make a good pair of speakers with video screen and a rechargeable battery, it gets a very solid review from a good friend of mine.
Happy Hunting! |

Hi Demaratus.
Thanks for the awesomeness of your response! I had seen the JBL on amazon and was impressed by the design, but that XtremeMac model is also very nice. Decisions decisions.... it makes me kinda glad I have a couple of months to decide. And that ilounge website will make my final decision much easier. Thanks again! |
