Does anyone know of anywhere that offers GMAT help or preparation classes? I found a few useful books in Itaewon, but would prefer to go through the material with a tutor in a classroom environment. I would also be open to one-on-one study sessions as well if you have taken the GMAT and scored 550+. Any info is appreciated! |

i did the gmat in korea..
i'm not sure about classes.. i think they would all be in korean. i think the best thing you can do is find an exchange partner.
i'm assuming the english part will be no problem to you, but the maths part might? that was certainly the case with me.
korea is full of people who are *beep* hot at the quantitative side, but not so good at english. just find someone like this who is also preparing for the gmat and help each other out.
also for books, just go to any big kyobo books type shop. the gmat is a big thing in korea and there are plenty of books in english. i got one from there myself. |

Thanks for the advice. I took it once already in Seoul. I scored slightly above the average of last year's incoming class to my number one pick school, but I am concerned about my undergrad GPA. I want to compensate by blowing the GMAT away. That will also prove the explanation in my application essay why my GPA was negatively affected during the course of my sophomore year.
If anyone is interested in preparing for the GMAT, please get in touch.
Thanks |

Try the Princeton Review in Seoul. It has classes on GMAT prep taught in English by foreigners, but expect to pay around 700,000 won a month or more. Plus, you'll probably be bothered by your Korean classmates for free help and stuff, so you'll have to put your foot down at times.

You can also join GMAT prep groups, though you'll probably put in a lot more than you get out if the group is mostly Korean. |
