Hi, I know I can do my own research online, but was wondering if any of u longtime expats in Seoul can please provide just a little quick advice.
I'm planning on Pattaya Feb. 17-23 to attend a convention for a group I'm in. Never been to Thailand and guess I'll go alone.
Any quick thots on how I can do this and save a few nickels, ie: best airline or travel agent in Seoul, decent lodging in Pattaga, stuff to do around there, stuff I MUST see on 1st visit.
Thanks all and Happy Holidays. |

| who are you bulls******g? i'll send you an intinerary that will keep you busy 24/7 at a later date but please, a convention? gotta do better than that brother. i know Patts like the back of my hand and I know for a fact that youi're not going to find any convention goers strolling walking street. The only conventions you'll find in Patts will be in your barfines mouth and I guaranty, everybody's comin'. HA! |

Guys, guys, it could be a convention of men and women meeting each other for some drinks, maybe a little conversation, and ultimately, a decision if they want to spend a lifetime together.
But OP, be forewarned, this could be you. |

| Believe it or not, Pattaya does have actual conventions, but you won't find them anywhere near Walking Street. Expensive hotels like The Royal Cliff and The Sheraton hold regular conventions. But somehow I doubt the OP will be staying at one of those places..... |

That video about the Thai wife wanting a baby is awesome... "I want a baby!!!" "Give me a baby!!!" Hilarious... What a psycho!
Thailand is great whether you're there for a, ahemm, convention, or just plain old sightseeing. The beaches down there are nice but even better if you get out of the main touristy area. The food, in my opinion, is the best in Asia, and cheap. Wish I was going. Have fun.
If you can't be good, be careful. |

In case the OP hasn't gotten the message, Pattaya is reputed to be about the most morally degraded part of Thailand. (It's also where the infamous Christopher Neil allegedly made his pedophile contacts ...)
I've never been there, though, so for all I know there might be some very nice attractions there as well. But you would be well advised to read the travel guides and take precautions. |

Pattaya is one big sleazy hooker joint along a beach littered with stray dogs appraently. I shudder to imagine what type of 'convention' you belong to..... |
