I visited my grandpa in Moose Jaw, and as a "special treat" he drove me out to Rouleau, the set of Corner Gas (the "bus stop" where he gets off.)

When Brent Butt says "the worst is behind you" I assume he was talking about Manitoba.

Manitoba is the greatest province in the history of Western civilization.

Having lived in Winnipeg for 5 years, I certainly got respect for the music scene there. Propagandhi rules. But Manitoba on the whole is pretty lame. Unless you find endless wheat fields a source of entertainment.

You need to get off the Trans Canada then.

Not everyone gets off on endless wheat fields. Some people get off on endless canola and flax fields. Some prefer swampy bogland, others prefer boggy swampland.

Polar bears on the streets of Churchill, the Icelandic in Gimli, the Subway sandwiches place in Dauphin, summers in Selkirk... I have fond memories of my two years in Manitoba.

Winnipeg is the only city other than Vancouver or Montreal I can see myself living in long term. A great place for music and restaurants and making friends.

Saskatchewan is a nightmare to me. I'd rather go to prison.

Pretty funny. Very Happy I love jokes about Saskatchewan. The flat jokes are not that funny though. I much prefer the jokes about how Sask people are really inbred and go around marrying their cousins and stuff like that, (true btw) It always amazes me how I meet people from Sask and at first they lie and say they are from Alberta. Because everybody knows that is way cooler to be from a small town in Alberta than a small town in sask. LOL

My one trip to Saskatchewan, we were in a very hilly part of the province. It certainly wasn't flat at all.

Do you mean Blackstrap? It's made of garbage.

Sask. kicks Manitoba's ass.
