Okay pimps and pimpettes,

I was originally staying until May 1rst. My visa ends May 1rst.

My school has asked that I stay for another year or leave at the end of Feburary. I chose to leave at the end of Feburary. The school is offering 10 out of 12 months severance and the plane ticket home since I'm leaving to no fault of mine. (The semester ends in late Feb. and since I'm not renewing they do not want me to bail two months into a new batch of students) The school is also changing to a new Franchise as well.

I got a contract addendum stipulating everything, mutual agreement to end the contract with afore mentioned benefits, red stamped by the owner.

So I have a uni job lined up maybe for March 1rst. What will I need to my new visa given the new laws?

Does the May 15th deadline still apply, am I kosher until then? Can the uni just take over and extend my visa the year?

Any ideas? Any suggestions? I'm still waiting on my criminal background check to return. I have my degree here. Haven't done the apostille bit or anything yet obviously. Medical will be done this weekend.

Thoughts?

A very recent post on the Korea Immigration Service website seems to apply to your situation. See http://forums.eslcafe.com/korea/viewtopic.php?t=110118 for info on accessing it (unfortunately it's impossible to link directly to pages on the KImmi website).
