In what's been an interesting winter of politics so far, it might just become even more interesting.

"NEW YORK - New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg has quietly been polling and conducting a highly sophisticated voter analysis in all 50 states as he decides whether to launch an independent presidential bid, associates said Wednesday."

I have to wonder what the deciding factor would be for him. A Huckabee nomination?

I'd be tempted to vote for a Bloomberg/Hegel ticket no matter who else was running.

Why? What's appealling about him? (I am only vaguely aware that he is mayor of NYC.)

I don't think I'd vote for Bloomburg (although I'd be reluctant to say never, depending on what else happens). It is worth pointing out that he has been both a D and R in the past. The one advantage he has is that he can fund his own campaign. Must be nice.
