Immigration told me it was free and automatically gave me one when I appliedfor my ARC, I would have preferred it ifthey didn't as I saw it as a back up to cancel my visa if I ever had problems with my employer. |

It is free for UK citizens BUT they must apply for it. Multi at your local office or single (MULTIPLE TIMES if necessary - as in each time you fly) at the airport. |

It's free. Just go to immigration at the airport every time you're flying out, it's never taken me more than 30 minutes. |

Just in case the day you fly, is the same day everyone else wants to leave then I saved myself some travelling stress by popping by Immi. to pick up the stamp. |

Funny. I'm British and I had to pay for mine!
Also - when I left (having resigned and with no intention to return) I told the immigration person so and they simply kept my ARC and cancelled my Multi-entry permit.
Do not be surprised if they ask for money when you apply for one - even if your British. It wasn't much anyway. |
