Ok, just bought a new comp and am a bit worried about something.

My bud han mentioned to me before that the CDs/DVDs I use when burning should match the speed of my RWer.

Is it true? And if so, how do I go about finding out which speed is right for my comp?

I wouldn't worry. the software that you use should autodetect what speed your cd/dvd is and set your hardware to use the correct speed.

he might have been thinking about the +/- format but most, if not all burners now a days can burn both
