Ok, I'm a dude from Canada who has been here for 1.5 months and was in serious need of a haircut. I was freakin out. I took the advice of some posters here and went to Art of Zen and got Lucy to cut my hair. She speaks better English than the Japanese girl who cut my hair at home in Vancouver. I got exactly what I wanted and got a sweet new hair product for when the stuff I have runs out. She was super nice and the 1 hour trip from Ilsan was well worth it.
One awkward moment though - She asked me if I liked the Korean weather. I thought she said, "Do you like Korean women?" So I was like, "Yeah, Korean women are great." To which she replied, "That's nice but I asked you about Korean weather." We had a good laugh over it though. She will definitely be cutting my hair everytime while I'm here.
Thanks to everyone who helped me find this place. Just something else I don't have to worry about anymore. |

I would say ms. but I don't know for sure. The hairwashing girl was nice too. Scalp massage and a bit of a neck massage while washing the hair. All for 25000. |

Now the obvious question is, were they hot? |

There's nothing Korean women love more than hearing about how you think all Korean women are hot. |

Well hotness is such a subjective and semantically ambiguous word but...
Lucy, the hairdresser, was a little older but still nice looking although I personally wouldn't call her hot while others might.
The hairwashing girl was also nice looking. The way she washed my hair was hot. I wouldn't have called her hot before the wash but now I would say she is hot if that makes any sense. |

I know you're not being sarcastic because that's the absolute truth.
But the way the OP went on and on and mentioned his flirtatious escapades.......................I'll shut up now. |

I know you're just being a bit of an arse and poking fun at the guy, but I always wondered why every Korean I talked with asked, "Do you like Korean women?" How the hell was I supposed to answer?
Stange. I guess they were just seeing if they had a chance of scoring. |

They're probably just checking if you have yellow fever. |

25,000 is a bit steep for a haircut in Korea. I've had some pretty swank ones for 15,000, but I always give them more because it feels like stealing. |

No kidding. My haircuts, aside from the original cost for the clippers, are free. |

These days I go to Satin in COEX. Not much English skills there, but the you get wash, cut, wash, scalp massage, for 15,000. By girls wearing mini-skirts. Very nice. |

man i thought 25000 WAS cheap. guess i'm wrong. anyway though the place was sweet so I'll keep goin there anyway. The whole being able to communicte thing is worth the extra 10 bucks for me. As for the miniskirts, all I gotta do is walk across the street to LaFesta and I can get my fill of those.
Hmmm... kinda bored right now so... |

What he said.
However I feel it necessary to add that in the long run, your clippers will burn out quicker than mine, seeing as my balding head doesn't need to be cut as much as yours does, therefore costing you, technically, more than it costs me.
In the long run. |
