Howdy. We're down in the deep south of the ROK and looking for a really, really nice hotel/spa for Lunar New year.

Any suggestions?

Willing to travel 2 hours in any direction of Gwangju.

There is a really nice resort in Namhae, run by Hilton.

Further than where you want to go but it's a real resort.

The Damyang Resort is just outside of Gwangju and is a fantastic oncheon. I was there at Lunar New Year a couple of years ago and was very impressed. Of course, it was my first time having the oncheon experience, but it holds up well in retrospect.
