I have a question. Many people like myself were born in the UK, but immigrated overseas to Australia, US, Canada etc. where we spent most of our adulthood prior to coming to Korea. We travel on UK passports, and have 'United Kingdom' as country of origin on our alien registration cards. This is despite the fact that many of us left the UK as youngsters, and spent our adult years - our potentially 'criminal' years - in another country.

From which country are the geniuses at immigratrion expecting a criminal record check? Both? Or just the one indicated on our passports, regardless of the fact that some of left our home countries as mere infants?

Given immigration's aversion to consistency and logic I'm not quite sure what's required here. Any insight into the enigma that is the Korean 'mind' would be helpful here.
