Seems fairly typical of politics these days. Mitt Romney towards his fellow Republicans is the worse I've seen by far.

The problem with Dems doing it to themselves is that the conservative media really has a large audience that perpetuates that stuff - Rush Limbaugh and just about nearly all talk radio these days. Theyll be ruined. There isn't much of a liberal media that exists and is able to do the same to the Republicans.
