If I bring over Won to Thailand, will I have trouble exchanging it into Baht at the airport, or is it better to bring USD? Can I exchange it here in Busan at the airport? I ask because Won to Baht gives me more money than USD to Baht. |

Change at the airport. There is a sufficiently large number of Koreans going to Thailand that you can change into Baht easily in Korea. |

buy US $s in korea or travelers cheques and change at money changers in Thailand. You should change some at the Bangkok airport so you have cash on hand. You will get a better rate changing in thailand than korea. |

I transfer to my one of my Thai accounts or use internet banking to transfer money from me K-acct (while in Thai) or use my KB international bank card. |

if you are going to bangkok or khao san road specifically, change to usd. i went a few months ago and changed won to baht in korea, but had i bought dollars instead, i noticed that exchange rates on khao san are often equal for dollars and won, so if you exchange to dollars in korea, you'll have more dollars to exchange, even after exchange rates. if you change to dollars, don't do it at the airport, go to your bank. |

Don't know if it's too late but I just came back from Thailand this past weekend.
We took Dollars and Baht, didn't spend a single Dollar... The Baht was fine, bargain in Baht spend in Baht. It did appear that the exchange rate looked better in Thailand than in Korea for some unknown reason. So take your Won or Dollars to Thailand and change there, there was no shortage of foreign exchange offices and all had similar rates.
just my 19ish Won
