Go for a nice long walk. Minimum three hours. By the end of it you will know what to do.

In terms of regrets:

(a) if you go now, lose her anyways and get fired/ lose financially a lot at the end of your contract
or
(b) if you don't go and lose her

Which would you regret more? Personally, life has taught me one doesn't regret one's jobs lost. Within 6 months you can make that up. One's heart can take years.

There is another option

(c) stay and finish the last days of your contract THEN go after her, in the meantime using your free time to write the most heartfelt indepth love letter you've ever written, concentrating your energies on A Plan.

Good luck whatever.

My question is, if this is love, and you only have 2 or 3 weeks left until your contract ends, then why didn't she stay? Why didn't you book a vacation together?

I would finish what I started. If I made a commitment, then I would try my best to see it through. Like the other said, you can chase her in a couple weeks, and then you won't have any regrets about leaving early.

If you go, you are going and not returning for a week.

No, she was never here. My vacation is scheduled to start Friday at 1230 and last three weeks. I return February 10 and contract ends one week later on February 22nd.

What changes in a week that makes you so desperate now?

A. You f-ed up and you gotta leave now to fix it.
Lets say you DO go and fix it? You got the girl but now you've opened up another slew of problems. Ask yourself honestly, if you see her, will she really take you back?

B. She found another guy.
Its a lost cause. Even if she does end up picking you over him then you will be insecure the rest of your life wondering if she's out meeting other guys behind your back.

C. She misses you and can't handle a long distance relationship anymore and if you don't see her within 24 hours she's going to leave you.
Reverse roles. Lets say she were in your shoes and you hers. If she only had a week left to go til vacation, would she drop everything to go and see you? My girlfriend would say "Go take a cold shower. I'll be done in a week."

You have a week to go. What is so urgent that you need to get there ASAP?? You are in Korea and she's most likely in a completely different hemisphere. Think objectively. How does you seeing her benefit YOUR position so that you won't lose the girl?

Right on man, she's the only exciting thing I got in my life and I wanna see here and fix things. Holidays have been rough here and I'm leavin this place in a month. I don't even care anymore man.

I can't get in touch with her. Her phone has been off. That was why. We had a fight. I'm worried.

Here's what you do man. You order her flowers. If you are in the States, then go to 1800flowers.com or something. Order a few dozen roses and have them delivered to her door. In the note say something like, "I'm sorry, I'll see you in a week to make it up to you."

That should buy you 1 week of time. Plus, you score MAAAAD points for being able to order flower delivery FROM Korea.

PKang the Love Doctor has saved the day once again.

I gotta go see about a girl right now before I lose her, but I'm not supposed to go on vacation until Friday. I have one more week of winter camp this week and only avg. 6 students are showing up anyways. I just been showing movies and talking.

I need to leave now!!

My question is; will I get fired if I bump out? LIkely or most definately? My heart tells me to go, but my head says stay. My contract ends 1 week after I return from vacation anyway.

Will they allow my co-worker to take on my students in I make a deal with him?

Will I be able to change my departure date if I do this?? Am I crazy? I don't wanna loose this one and I feel I need to do something extrordinary.

I appreciate any advice

Are you sure you are in love? I mean, if not...is it worth it?

I 'm healthy though, so life is good. It's good to be an expat!!

Just got an HIV test to day at KHAP near Giruem station on line 4. They were really comfortable and completely anonymous. They do free testing on Sunday's and it only take 20 minutes. The tests are 99% accurate according to them. I was only referred to by a number. They were extremely professional.

Take exit 7 and walk about 1/4 mile until you see SK gas station and they are on the left. You need to make a reservation for Sunday testing and they will give you a number. Their number is 02-927-4322

Nah...I just recalled the other threads the OP had started and thought it odd that the guy seemed to be in love and would toss a job/career (and perks that come with it) that he seems to enjoy so much. Creepy? Meh, whatever....just a recollection and a simple click to see his posts.

If one week is going to make or break your relationship, it likely isn't worth saving.

Think of three years from now. Will this decision matter?
Remove yourself from the situation as much as you can and make the decision that makes the most sense for you.

She might be around in three years, you will be.

Wow, you should be a private investigator.

1. The 1 Thai girl I met last summer is the girl I'm talking about

2. Everyone knows that condoms suck in Korea.

3. I was nervous because I've never had an HIV test and I've been a typical man in my twenties and condoms are not 100%.

Ronald,

Sorry mate...I meant nothing by it. Investigator? Nah...grew up with family whose job it was to carry out surveillance and investigation for the government. Not my gig....

Hey..I cast NO stones...my house is glass. I just thought the bird you were talking about was in Valdosta (been there over a dozen times).
