I'm writing an article on Korean hip hop. I would like to interview a Korean DJ that's familiar with the hip hop scene. Also if anyone knows a Korean hip hop artist that's underground (or major) please inform me of how I can get in touch with them, if possible. Unfortunately, I don't speak Korean well enough to hold a conversation. If any contact can speak English that would be great. If no one knows of a person I could speak with, can anyone direct me to websites that would be helpful. Please send me a message on eslcafe with info or questions.
Thanks,
Gigi |

Hey gigi - you wouldn't have any info about bboy battles? dates, location, etc. I'm a big fan of bboying and I know theres a serious scene in Seoul - check out "maximum crew vs. sex men" on youtube. |

If there is a group of people in this world who propose not killing you....well they can count me out .
It's the precious oxygen and resources you waste by being alive that mostly bothers me ....there's no justice in the world...
I don't know why we were put on this rock , or why we became sentient beings....but i'm pretty sure it was not to prance around like posturing twats for it's own sake..... |

Google "fake ass korean rappers" and you'll find a very well-written article from Spin Magazine. No joke. |

OUCH! That was a nice read. I loath hip-hop and the scene entirely, but an article like that should show you how racist Koreans are. They want 'clean' hip hop? That's like low fat lasanga. |

David, unfortunately I don't have any info readily available about bboy battles. I've been focusing on the lyricists. I'll be looking out and if I see something I'll post it.
